  2. The regulation of ACTH secretion. 
  3. The secretion of ACTH is stimulated by CRH and ADH scting synergistically and is inhibited by the feedback effects of cortisol exerted directly at the level of the pituitary. In addition, cortisol inhibits both CRH and ADH secretion, thus acting on the hypothalamus as well.
